Food is delicious, served really fast and not too pricy. There's no place to sit and eat, this is a grab and go restaurant. It's great that now they accept credit cards.

My favorite Chicken Teriyaki takeout in the Bay Area. The only crispy skin Chicken Teriyaki I know of. Make sure to try it while the edges are still crispy. Hubby's favorite is the Korean Style BBQ Chicken. I would describe it as better than Vietnamese Five Spice Chicken. The dry parts are way better if you can wait hours till they are cold to touch. Then it's like eating jerky, but better. One thing to note is that this is a teeny weenie hole-in-the-wall, but you can wait outside and they will call your number with an intercom.

My tonkatsu burger was delicious-- The crispy pork cutlet, the sauces the bun, the generous mayo, fresh tomatoes and iceberg, and the overall yummy flavor when biting into it compositely! I've never tried anything here, but steady queues all the time got me interested. For $10, can be full for a good 6-8 hours!

Whenever I am in San Mateo, when on the way home to SF and not wanting to cook, this is my go-to place. I love the chicken karagge, which tastes fantastic and gives you a good portion. The last time I was here, I ordered a few dishes like curry and beef teriyaki. Which all was a win. The chicken wings were not spicy, but they had a crunch. They are quick to turn around meals, and the guys are always friendly. No place to sit down and eat this is more of a to-go place.

The best take-out lunch/dinner spot. You will find this on the corner next to the Japanese market. I always get the Korean Short Rib bento and my husband gets the Beef Teriyaki bento. It comes with a miso soup, rice, mac salad and regular salad. I love their Mac salad! There's always a line and sometimes a busy signal if you wanted to call to order ahead. The downside is finding parking in the busy streets of downtown SM.
