Absolutely wonderful food & service! As someone who eats out regularly in Los Angeles, I have to say that Santana & Mavericks would give the very best restaurants in L.A. a run for their money. My wife and I were amazed at the wonderful meal we enjoyed (i.e., salmon & steak) at this beautiful restaurant overlooking the lake. Our waitress, Evelyn, provided top notch service, which included checking up on us regularly and making a fresh pot of coffee for us. In addition, Louise, the manager, greeted us warmly and stopped by our table several times to see if we needed anything. It was an amazing meal with great service and a wonderful ambiance....who could ask for more!

Santana Mavericks is great restaur with a lake front view. the restaurant is clean and nice. They has wide variety of food. We had a 1/2 Rack of Ribs, Steak and Shrimp Fajitas, Chicken Fajita, Salmon al Cilantro and Salmon Piccata. Everything was amazing and the service was great.

We came in on Saturday with a group of about 35-40 people. We talked to the manager before hand, and we're able to negotiate a really great price. In order to make the order come out in a timely manner, we narrowed the menu down to 5 different items. This helped out, a lot. The food was cooked perfectly, the orders came out almost all together. There was a lot of steak involved. The steaks were delicious. The service was excellent. For a huge party, and only one mistake, I would call it a success. This new restaurant was a whole heck of a lot better than the old restaurant. Now I will have to take the wife out for date night, we can hardly wait

I've been coming to Big Bear since the 1980's. I have had good meals. This by far is best! Ambiance, service and most importantly the food were top notch.

This place is nice and has a view of the lake. There is outdoor and indoor dining. Since it was cold we ate inside. The drinks were delicious. We tried the margaritas and the old fashioned. I had the ribeye steak with a salad, mash potatoes and veggies. Everything was good. The steak was soft and had good flavor. I think it was a bit expensive but we are in big bear. Service was great. They were friendly and helpful. They brought our food pretty quickly.
