Currently my favorite chicken burrito spot! Get it with everything! My children like the rice and beans and of course can't forget a pan dulce.

Taco Tuesday? Say less! Companion suggested we grab some tacos and I thought it was a great idea. We chose Casa Latina as it was our first time dining there together. The restaurant's environment is brightly colored, with neighborhood vibes, and art sprawled throughout. It's the right-sized restaurant for small or larger parties as seating is all self-service. The workers are all courteous and ordering is done at the front with limited interactions. There's a lot to take in in terms of the food. Traditional and nontraditional Mexican and Latin American foods, plus a bakery! I've had their pastries before but not their tacos in a while. I got the Carnitas Taco and my companion had the Al Pastor Taco; both were discounted for taco Tuesday. The carnitas taco was the juiciest taco I've ever had--literally, juice wouldn't stop spilling it. The carnitas was good but could've had more flavor while my companion's Al pastor was dry. Both tacos had some heat due to the salsa, I'd opt for it on the side next time. Berkeley has a variety of options for Mexican food. Casa Latina is pretty good for prices and portions, but I wouldn't actively seek this restaurant out. Parking is street only and the restaurant is found off San Pablo Ave.

Casa Latina was good. We found street parking and the tacos were sizable. What I love is the bakery portion of this place, they have a side filled with bakery items and pastries that were fairly large. Wouldn't return to go here specifically because the tacos were nothing incredibly memorable but would come back for the atmosphere and the bakery items.

Reasonably priced Latin food with the top notch flavors. I took my little sisters here for a bite after the Cal Berkeley Basketball game. You must order first before u sit down. I wish they would have wiped the table off first but no biggie. We all ordered Tacos: 2 Carne Asada Tacos (about street taco size but lots of meat 3 Carnitas Tacos (same size as asada tacos) 2 prawn tacos (it was pretty flavorful but a bit messy) 2 sides of rice 1 Cola 1 horchata 1 jarritos -------------- All for $50 The food was delicious, love the energy again, just wish they would have wiped off the table! Cleanliness is key!

Wait. Don't tell me I've never reviewed this place... I've been here quite a few times over the years and I really enjoy each visit. If you've never been here, here's what you should know: - it's on the smaller side! Lots of people have to-go orders so I've never had an issue with seating, but keep that in mind. - there's a little Mexican bakery section here! - nearby parking is metered street parking or residential, so it's likely you'll have to park and walk. - bathroom? Absolutely. Just one, and you'll need a key. I think the cost is on the higher side, but not much more than similar restaurants in the area. The interior is nicely decorated, with a large mirror and some Frida artwork. The food is solid. I love their chips! They're so well-seasoned. Some of the bakery items have not been my favorite, but they're okay. My husband loves to order the chile verde burrito, which is gigantic. I will usually order pupusas (technically not Mexican food, these hail from El Salvador). The portion size is great. As a bonus, my toddler loves the food here, so they definitely earned my business.
