Had Sunday Brunch. Everything was on point. Great service, nice atmosphere food was good. Fun options for a sunny Sunday brunch. I believe it's under new ownership and is family owned and operated. They were all hustling to satisfy a busy hungry crowd. Impressive and greatly appreciated. Hats off.

Very tasty food for breakfast. I ordered the one egg with hashbrowns and sourdough toast. It really was tasty. My daughter ordered the yummy pancakes! She couldn't get enough, I made the mistake of ordering a short stack. Go for the full stack! The fruit cup was fresh and sweet. Service was fast and we got to sit next to the firepit. Our waiter made sure we had all our condiments and keep an eye on our table. Asking sure we had all we needed. The ambiance is friendly and very inviting. I believe it was the owners that came and asked if we were doing ok and if they can get us anything. Such great service! I hope to be back soon.

Village Corner is an awesome place to go for great service and wonderful food. Today was my niece's 40th birthday and we had a wonderful lunch there. Today's special was asparagus soup which was out of this world!!! Did I mention they are dog friendly. We were able to sit out in the patio with fire pits to keep us warm. Thank you so much for the wonderful celebration!

My husband and I happened to walk by this corner restaurant in the morning and decided to stop by for breakfast. So glad we did. We were warmly welcomed by a gentleman, who I assumed was the owner. He made you feel like you were someone special. The interior of the restaurant looks like a diner somewhat, but they have a really nice patio on the outside. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. My husband had the Acapulco omelette with chilies, onions, avocado & pepper-jack cheese. He had his choice of toast and a side of either hashbrowns, breakfast potatoes, fruit or cottage cheese. The omelette was a large portion and very good. I had the avocado toast and asked for two poached eggs, which was not offered on the menu, but they were happy to do. I thought the eggs would come on top of the toast, but the avocado toast was actually three small pieces of baguette and the eggs were put in a bowl on the side. I like when the avocado toast is a large piece of bread with the poached eggs on top so when you cut into it, the yolks run onto the avocado toast. There was no room to put a poached egg on the small slices of baguette. It was just different, but still tasted good. I also had a cappuccino and it was perfectly frothed and served with a cube of raw sugar. I liked that. The breakfast menu had many selections to please everyone. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast. No

Running in the rain. Feels like awhile ago because thoughts and emotions run down a stream, endlessly in a cycle of highs and lows. Something I've been reflecting on is why some people feel emotions really deeply and others either don't or are really good at not letting it all seep through their pores. I think of Jhene Aiko's song "10,000 Hours" and how she basically explains that once you know what it's like to lose someone forever (to death, for instance), there is no way to call them, "ask how [their] day was" because "nothing in life's guaranteed." She goes onto to explain that she's not being difficult but instead "[sees] things differently." When she continues by saying, "When I say I wanna see you, that means something deeper to me," ah man...it hits deep. We stopped by The Village Corner on a whim because we were hungry, and it started to pour while we were looking for a spot to eat at in Carmel. Despite coming in around 30~40 minutes prior to closing time, we were greeted warmly and received great service from beginning to end. It felt nice not to be rushed (though we had the decency to leave as soon as we finished our meals). We got the following because it was a burger and fries kinda day: -The Village Burger (with a salad) -The Beyond Burger (with fries) Can't say much about the Village Burger because it wasn't my order, but I liked how they had Kalamata Olives in their salad. As for my Beyond Burger, it was as expected (I've had plenty of Beyond Burgers and knew what flavors to expect from the patty). It was a simple burger with onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese. I had no complaints because all the basics were solid. I guess nothing really stood out. The fries on the side, however, were amazingly crispy and perfectly seasoned. Wowza, amazing. The seating is pretty cozy, and they have both indoor and patio available.
