Great spot if you want authentic shawarma! Been going to shawarma loca since they were in a food truck behind the Mobil gas station. Love the flavor of the shawarma, the owner is a character. He makes the experience so much better! Boom boom! Give them a try and let me know what you think?

Food is good but for some reason me plus plenty others agreed it was better when it was a food truck. Chicken can be a bit dry sometimes and they're a bit stingy with the garlic sauce but otherwise it's pretty solid!

I came across Shawarma Loca on social media and it seemed like a fun and different take on shawarma. The talk of coal grilled shawarma had me excited for a unique flavor, but during our weekend visit, it was the standard gas stove setup. Not a big deal, just a different from what I was expecting. The food itself was good, although they went for an unconventional move--serving it on a chopped-up flour tortilla, divided into six pieces. I prefer the traditional pita or a heartier bread, so that was a bit unexpected. We got the 24' Shawarma's which were 2 sandwiches, cut up served with hot potato wedges and some veggies. One letdown was the zaytun (olives). Hoping for something with that unique middle eastern brine and saltiness, but they were just your typical canned black olives, like the ones you'd find on pizza. A bit disappointing on the flavor front. Overall, I'd rate it a respectable 4 out of 5. It's not a bad experience by any means, just be prepared for a few twists in the usual shawarma journey.
